Timothy Remaili
I am a scientist within the Contaminants and Risk Team for the NSW Government Department of Planning Industry and Environment, In my role I deliver complex projects providing scientific/technical analyses and advice to intergovernmental agencies, predominantly the NSW EPA. This includes undertaking complex science projects in the assessment of contaminants and their risks to ecological and human health. My background is aquatic contaminant biogeochemistry and ecotoxicology, completing my PhD through Griffith University in collaboration with the CSIRO (Land and Water) and the University of Wollongong to better understand the influence of organism-sediment interactions on contaminant/ stressor exposure and toxicity to benthic fauna, and the role bioturbation plays in recovering degraded sediment sites.
