Susan C Wilson
Dr Susan Wilson is Associate Professor in Environmental Pollution at University of New England (UNE), Armidale, NSW. She leads the UNE Pollution Science Research Group. Her research answers questions on the cycling, processing and fate of contaminants in environmental soil systems, to provide for science based solutions in management and remediation. She works on legacy pollutants as well as emerging concerns including PFAS and microplastics, and is a world leader on the biogeochemistry of the metalloid antimony. Susan is a chemist with an MSc from Imperial College, London, in Environmental Technology, and completed her PhD in environmental chemistry at Lancaster University, UK, in 1992. She has worked in the US, Europe and Australia in academia, consultancy and regulation and has been in current position at UNE since 2010.
